Car Design: Designed by Mattel illustrator, Otto Kuhni, for use on the original Hot Wheels® packaging in the late 1960s. The car's design was based on a combination of all the muscle cars seen on the streets at that time. The car is referred to as the “lost Hot Wheels®,” by the in-house Hot Wheels® design team, as it was never produced in die-cast form.

Car Production: Jason Arasheben, CEO of Jason of Beverly Hills, is known for creating spectacular one-of-a-kind diamond pieces for entertainment and sport's biggest stars.

Production Timing: More than 25 people worked on the car; they spent nearly 600 hours on the entire production process.

Jewel Specs: 2,703 brilliant multicolored diamonds were micro pave-set on the car:
- 1,388 blue diamonds
- 988 black diamonds
- 319 white diamonds
- 8 baguette-cut rubies
- Car Specs: 13 pieces cast in 18-karat gold make up the entire car:
- Body – blue diamonds; Hot Wheels® flame done in red and white enamel.
- Functional hood – blue diamonds
- Chassis/Underbelly – black and white diamonds; tail lights – rubies; Hot Wheels® logo – etched white-gold
- Dash – black and white diamonds
- Car seat compartment – black and white diamonds
- Tires (4) – black diamonds with red enamel as “red-line” of the tire
- Wheel rims (4) – white-gold

Car Production Phases: The jeweled car went through many phases during production – it started as a wax mold, was cast in 18-karat white-gold, then drilled for diamond placement, rhodium-flashed to affect the color of the gold (blue, black or white), and lastly had enamel work done on the Hot Wheels® flame logo on each side of the car, as well as on the tires to create the “red-line”.

Display Case Specs: The custom-made case houses the jewel-encrusted vehicle, as well as unique display features:
- 40 individual bezel-set white diamonds, signifying each year of the Hot Wheels® legacy.
- LED display on the box lid – displays video and photos of the car's production.
- Base of the case houses a rotating display, complete with mirrored bottom and flashing white lights.
