’38 Ford C.O.E. (2009 Hot Wheels® Collectors Convention)

One of collectors’ favorite castings has got to be the ’38 Ford C.O.E. It’s been a great year for the C.O.E., too, what with the release earlier this year of our version of Larry Wood’s own creation. But the C.O.E. wasn’t finished, making this stunning appearance at the 23rd Annual Hot Wheels® Collectors Convention in October!
This big bruiser of a truck features a metalflake lime green and gloss black flame-deco finish, with plenty of advertising for the show -- just as if this truck pulled up to deliver a load of Hot Wheels® convention goodies! With Real Riders® wheels and lots of chrome, this is a classic Hot Wheels® commemorative release you’ll want to be sure you have delivered to your door.
Here’re the complete specs for this heavy haulin' release:
Produced in quantities to be announced later, the Hot Wheels® Collectors Convention ’38 Ford C.O.E. comes with an individually numbered holographic sticker and ships in a Hot Wheels®
Kar Keepers™ case. At just $19.99 plus S&P (shipping & processing) each, there is a purchase limit of ONE vehicle per RLC™ membership on the first day of availability. If quantities remain after the RLC™ 24-hour Priority Window, it will be available for purchase by all basic HWC™ memberships, and RLC™ members may purchase one more.
Hot Wheels® PPG '56 Chevy® Nomad® Handyman

The top prize in the 2008 PPG Paint Your Ride contest was a big one… the chance for the winning submission to be reproduced as a 2009 production model Hot Wheels® vehicle. Out of all the entries submitted, one stood out from the rest – a 1956 Nomad® decked out in metal flake medium sapphire blue with a flawless flame deco. It was the champ in every way, so without further ado, we proudly present the Hot Wheels® PPG '56 Chevy® Nomad® Handyman! And, even though it’s not a Series Eight vehicle, purchasing this vehicle during the RLC™ 24-hour Priority Window will earn you one RLC™ Rewards Point.
The Paint Your Ride contest entries were reviewed by a panel of judges well-known in custom car circles, including our own Larry Wood. The winner was submitted by Jim and Melinda Cooper of Laguna Hills, California, and when it was announced, Larry said, "We were so impressed with all the finalist cars. It was a very difficult decision, but in the end we all agreed on the Chevy® wagon. It had everything – awesome paint, cool graphics, and a great overall look.”
We have to agree with the panel – this vehicle really is gorgeous. For starters, it receives a handsome metallic sapphire finish, flame deco, silver roof, and Real Riders® five-spoke wheels. Then, it’s packed into a beautiful blister card with an image of the 1:1 model. This item was produced in very small quantities, and with features like these, you’ll want to get yours before this Nomad® wanders away for good!
The Hot Wheels® PPG '56 Chevy® Nomad® Handyman ships in a Hot Wheels®
Kar Keepers™ case. It can be yours for a special price of $9.99 plus S&P (shipping & processing) each.
There is a purchase limit of ONE Nomad® per RLC™ membership on the first day of availability. If quantities remain after the RLC™ 24-hour Priority Window, it will be available for purchase by all HWC™ members, and RLC™ members may purchase one more. When RLC™ members order the Nomad® during the 24-hour Priority Window, they earn one RLC™ Rewards Point! But the only way to get in on the benefits is to join the Red Line Club™ for 2009 now!
Offer available to RLC™ members only for a
24-hour Priority Window: 11/10/09, 9:00 AM PT
