How do I change my e-mail address with you?

To change your e-mail address, you can use the “My Account” link at the top of each page of the site. You can change your e-mail address among the settings for your preferences. You may also send an e-mail with your user name and birth date to support@HotWheelsCollectors.com. You will receive an e-mail confirmation when the address has been permanently changed.

How do I unsubscribe from your e-mail Mailing List?

To unsubscribe from our electronic Mailing List:

  1. Go to www.HotWheelsCollectors.com.
  2. Sign in with your user name and password.
  3. Click the “My Account” link at the top right of the page, then click “Edit” on the “Your Preferences” area.
  4. Uncheck the box at the bottom of the “Your E-mail Address” area.
  5. Click "Submit" at the bottom of page.

How do I update my personal information preferences?

To update your personal information and/or preferences:

  1. Go to www.HotWheelsCollectors.com.
  2. Sign in with your user name and password.
  3. Click the “My Account” link near the top of the page, then click “Edit” on the area of your choice.
  4. Change or add any information displayed on the page.
  5. Click “Submit” at the bottom of page.

How do I log in?

Type in your user name in the box marked “User Name,” and type in your password in the box marked “Password.” If you have trouble remembering your password, you may wish to use the “Remember this for me” feature in your Account Settings so that the site will give your computer a “cookie" to remember your log in information for you.

I forgot my password. How do I retrieve it?

If you enter your user name and password and you get a “Your login attempt failed” message, this usually means you either entered the wrong password or user name (in this case try again) or that you forgot your password or user name.

If you in fact forgot your password, simply click on “Forgot your password?” and you'll be directed to a series of screens which allow you to reset your password. You must know either the user name or the e-mail address associated with your account. An e-mail will then be sent to the e-mail address we have on file for your user name. It will contain the instructions on how to complete the process of resetting your password.

If for some reason you cannot remember your user name or you no longer have access to the e-mail account we have on file for you, please send an e-mail to support@HotWheelsCollectors.com and we will provide you the information after you answer a few security questions.

How do I register to become a member of this website?

Registering with HotWheelsCollectors.com is easy. Just follow these steps:

  1. Click the “Sign Up Now” link on www.HotWheelsCollectors.com.
  2. Enter your date of birth.
  3. Agree to the Member Service Agreement.
  4. Create a user name and choose a password, and enter your e-mail address.
  5. You will receive a Confirmation e-mail with an Activation code -- follow the instructions.
  6. Once you activate your account, you will be asked to set a few default preferences for your account.
  7. Welcome to HWC™!

If anything on the registration pages is not filled out correctly, a red message will appear on the page with instructions.

How do I sign in to the HWC™ website?

To sign in to HotWheelsCollectors.com, go to www.HotWheelsCollectors.com and enter your user name and password in the sign in box near the top-right of the page. If you see don't see a sign in box on this page, then you are probably already signed in. If you are signed in, you should be able to go to any of the members-only areas of the site like the Message Board. Most HWC™ services will prompt you to fill out your user name and password when you enter if you are not already signed in.

How do I sign-out of the HWC™ website?

Within each HotWheelsCollectors.com service, there is a “Sign Out” link (usually at the upper right part of the page). If you share a computer or use a computer lab, we recommend you sign out of our services to protect your personal information.

What is a user name and why do I need one?

Your user name will be your identity for HotWheelsCollectors.com services. On the Message Boards, it will be your nickname.

NOTE: If the user name you chose is already taken, you will be asked to enter another one. If you try several and have no luck try using combinations of numbers and letters (like “JOHNSMITH2000”).

How can I get HWC™ to keep me signed in?

If you don't want to sign in each time you return to the site, you can do the following: Click on the “My Account” link at the top right of the site when you are signed in. Then choose the “Edit” feature for Sign In Settings. You can then check the box marked “Remember my Sign in info.” Click the Submit button at the bottom of that page and the site will keep you signed in.

Note: Activating this feature affects the computer you are using when you activate it. If you are using a shared computer that others have access to (such as at a public library or an internet café), anyone else using the computer will be able to make posts to the Message Boards or make purchases in the Shop using your account. Please use this feature carefully is your responsibility to protect your account.

How do I change my avatar?

You can change the avatar that appears when you sign in at HWC™, and when you make a post on the Message Boards.

  1. Click on the “My Account” link at the top right of the site when you are signed in.
  2. Choose the “Edit” feature for Your Avatar.
  3. You can choose any avatar shown by clicking on it, and then clicking the “Submit” button. Note that there are three different categories that you can click on and choose from – Photos, Illustrations and Wheels. RLC™ members have extra avatars to choose from by selecting the RLC™ Avatars tab at the top of the avatars.

How do I change my color themes?

You can customize the appearance of HWC™. This will only work when you sign in to your account.

  1. Click on the “My Account” link at the top right of the site when you are signed in.
  2. Choose the “Edit” feature for Your Theme.
  3. You can choose any theme shown by clicking on it, and then clicking the “Submit” button. You may also select Display Random Themes, and you will not always get the same theme. RLC™ members have extra themes to choose from by selecting the RLC™ Themes tab at the top of the themes.

How do I add or change my Message Board signature?

You can use a personal signature or image for the posts you make on the Message Boards.

  1. Click on the “My Account” link at the top right of the site when you are signed in.
  2. Choose the “Edit” feature for Message Board Settings. You may add text or image links into the box under Your Signature. Text-only signatures must be NO MORE than seven lines of text, with no more than 80 characters per line. If you use an image, you may only include ONE line of text besides the image, with no more than 80 characters in the line. Images must be NO MORE than 100 pixels high and 400 pixels wide. When you have added your signature, click the Submit button.
